Ok, just wondered, since the original bolt-holes for the license-plate were empty. The early models (series 0.5, 1 and 1.5 should have the license-plate mounted under the front bumper. (you can see the holes actually)

The number plate was mounted there, by the previous owner, to cover up peeling chrome in the middle of the bumper (the only really ugly part of the whole car! ) ....I'll be fixing that and remounting the plate where it should be.
